Beth went above and beyond to make them feel comfortable, and it was clear they were loved and well cared for. The biggest surprise was seeing our reactive pup having an absolute blast! That says everything about how patient, caring, and experienced Beth is with dogs of all personalities. We received updates, had complete peace of mind while we were away, and came home to three happy, relaxed pups. We sent our very disobedient puppy, Aston, to the “Good Dog Lady” training program for a month, and honestly, I was skeptical it would make much difference. I couldn’t have been more wrong. The transformation has been incredible. Aston is attentive, eager to please, and loves showing off his commands. The most impressive change is that he now calmly waits at the door until we give him permission to go outside—no more bolting. He just sits and looks to us for the “free” command. Additionally he will calmly walk into his crate and lay down on command. You can truly see the care and expertise that went into his training. This was more than obedience—it was a complete behavioral turnaround. We’re beyond grateful and highly recommend them. Show less

We cannot say enough about Beth. Her knowledge and care is absolutely top notch and best in class. We also have 2 other dogs and used the boarding facility for all 3 while we were away and will never go anywhere else. Good Dog Lady is a wonderful boarding company, they took care of my puppy and have demonstrated that going above and beyond was in the DNA of this establishment, during my puppy stay he became very sick and had to be admitted to a pet emergency hospital for diagnosis and treatment, Beth the owner was there personally for several hours communicating with me while i was out of the country and my son, she kept me informed daily on progress and all other pertinent details that a pet owner may be wondering about but is either shy or too busy to ask while traveling. We sent our puppy, Daisy, to Beth for a 4-week board-and-train program, and the results have been incredible. Before Beth, Daisy was quite the handful—she was constantly "stealing" household items, running away when called, and was a bit too mouthy/nippy during playtime. We knew she was a good girl, but she was definitely being naughty! From the start, Beth and her fellow trainer went above and beyond. We were so impressed that they didn't just train her in a facility; they took her on real-world outings to ensure her manners held up everywhere. The communication was stellar—we received constant updates and videos, which made us feel so much better about being away from her. The productivity of the sessions exceeded anything we had imagined. Daisy came home a different dog. Not only are her behavioral issues vastly improved, but she even learned extra tricks! What meant the most to us, however, was the transition back home. Beth walked us through exactly how to keep up the progress and took the time to include our kids in the training process. Seeing them learn how to work with Daisy was so special for our family. Beth also provided invaluable advice on nutrition and general care. It is clear she truly loves what she does. Once I engaged with Beth and she was able to bring Tahoe under her wing for training, he became night and day difference. His skills and manners are exceptional now. I researched several places and Beth was the only one that guaranteed her work. I had a rescue 2 year old that was not potty trained and would dart out any outside door when he could. I had 3 lessons with Beth. She is truly amazing and a dog whisperer. We had him trained within a week on the potty training. She then helped me with other things to work with him on including not darting out an outside door. I would recommend her 100%. She gave me so many tips on working with him. Like most JRTs, Sal came with intense energy, puppy nipping and mouthing, lack of focus, leash chaos, and general terrier mayhem.From the moment Beth walked through the door, everything changed.Her voice is calm yet confidently assertive, and the instant connection she made with Sal was something I’ve honestly never witnessed before. It was visual, intuitive, and immediate. Her ability to read puppy language, especially breed-specific Jack Russell cues, is almost inexplicable. You can see her communicate with a dog through her look, tone, timing, and mannerisms alone. It’s remarkable.Over just six weeks (one weekly session), the results were nothing short of miraculous. Sal learned sit, wait, come, stay, down, and, the jaw-dropping moment for us, food impulse control. We can now put his bowl down and he waits intently for the “take it” command. I’ve had dogs my entire life and have never seen a literal puppy learn with this level of clarity and consistency.Beth doesn’t just train dogs, she teaches people. She explained puppy behavior in a way that finally made sense, gave us clear homework after each session, emphasized consistency, and built our confidence to an all-time high. She even encouraged us to record sessions so we could rewatch and reinforce everything on our own, which was invaluable. She taught us how to correct each other so the training stayed consistent at all times, something I didn’t realize was so critical until she showed us.For anyone worried about harsh methods or abuse: this could not be further from the truth. Beth is exceptionally gentle, loving, and respectful. I would leave our puppy with her for a month without hesitation, knowing he would receive attentive care, effective training, and genuine affection.This was, without question, the best money we’ve ever spent. The “good dog lady” quickly became our baby’s favorite person. She is incredibly kindhearted and genuinely cares for everyone she works with.Beth makes sure to review each trick thoroughly and has both my husband and me practice so we are always on the same page. She helped us redirect our dog’s energy and taught us how to interact with her properly, because training truly goes both ways. We learned how to communicate with our dog so she could learn how to communicate with us.Our Yuffie has gone from a complete tug walker to a well behaved and obedient dog. She now responds quickly to our commands and shows impressive restraint when we are out in public.We later ran into a major issue with our dog’s food allergies, to the point where we were texting Beth at all hours of the day. She was always prompt in responding and showed genuine concern and commitment to our dog.Yuffie was reacting negatively to every protein we tried. Beth truly helped ease our concerns by offering so much thoughtful advice, and we were able to transition Yuffie to a salmon based diet. At one point she was losing a significant amount of weight, and Beth helped us work through everything so we could prevent her growth from being stunted.Our sessions are extremely informative, and we feel so blessed knowing our dog is in such good hands. Her techniques are all positive and encourage a close, loving relationship with your dog - never using negative corrections or fear. She's very easy to work with and adapts the training to your specific needs, ensuring you get the most value out of the lessons. After her private lessons, we started boarding with her as well and that's been fantastic. She's cheaper than the large daycares, the dogs have consistent access to a huge outdoor space, and she keeps you updated with pictures and videos. Also, Beth herself is caring for your dog which means you have an expert attending to them and helping them continue to develop healthy traits, rather than someone just keeping an eye on them.
